The company was set up in 1995 in Novi di Modena (MO)-Italy by the two founding partners Paolo Pedrielli and Oberdan Panzani. Driven by their enthusiasm and experience of the sector, they created a company that has grown steadily over the years.
Innovation and research are the cornerstones of the company’s strategy. Its ability to offer solutions that keep pace with new technologies and its constant search for new materials that meet customers’ needs have proved to be particularly successful factors.
For example, companies outside Italy that use highly abrasive clay require solutions capable of guaranteeing the durability of parts in contact with the clay. Over the years TECNOFILIERE has devised solutions that can cater for these needs, from chrome plating through to innovative solutions such as sandwich cores formed from components made of various materials including ceramic and innovative “TECNOCARBIDE” hard metal.
Another key factor behind the company’s growth is its focus on exports, which currently account for more than 90% of turnover. Thanks to its technical and sales staff who regularly travel abroad, the company is able to establish a direct dialogue with customers, who provide the input necessary for carrying through targeted interventions. The company’s engineers are always at hand to perform calibrations and initial adjustments, to take corrective action in the event of changes in extrusion conditions and to organise specific training courses for staff.
TECNOFILIERE has always been a firm believer in Italy’s manufacturing industry and its world-famous quality, innovation and customised products. With this in mind, it has organised its business activities in such a way as to maintain the margins of adaptability typical of a production-to-order approach, unlike what happens with large-scale production.
Over these 20 years of business, the company has achieved a number of successes thanks to the major innovations it has designed and developed.
The first is the exclusive wide-exit system, which involves positioning an extrusion cone between the liner and the coupling plate. This increases the body exit width, allowing for a considerable increase in hourly production capacity while maintaining high product quality and significantly reducing specific energy consumption.
A further innovation introduced by TECNOFILIERE is the modular construction of TFE-J EVO extruder die, a modification that considerably lengthens the overall lifetime of the die as maintenance can be performed simply by replacing the worn modules. All components, including the core holders, are produced mechanically using numerically controlled machine tools to ensure high dimensional stability and perfect long-term reproducibility. Latest model is the TFI EVOLUTION, specially devoted to the extrusion of facing bricks.
Last but not least, the die-washing machine makes die cleaning more efficient and convenient.
The first TF800 model was introduced in 1997, and was gradually improved over the years until the release of the new model TF1000 EVO in 2009. This new model maintains the key strengths of its predecessor and introduces some interesting improvements, in particular the ability to wash increasingly large dies.
A further release last year led to the launch of the fully computerised model TF1000FC, which features a PLC incorporated into the machine’s control panel to ensure fully computerised management of the die-washing machine’s various functions.
In perfect harmony with its energetic spirit, TECNOFILIERE looks to the future with confidence and enthusiasm. It is continuously enlarging the production department covering around 5000sqm and hosting the four main departments: sheet metal cutting, CNC machining, welding and assembly, sandblasting and heat treatment.
